The witches have been visited by Hecate.
The real one, they claim; she has told them to prepare for this king, this Macbeth, who will come to seek his fortune. They are building bloody visions--trees, they have said, and a child--to inflame his purpose.
It will all end in death. It always does.
Rache's help being neither requested nor required, she has left the cavern behind her. She hasn't explored this land much since her arrival. She supposes it's overdue.
(Despite the fact that her robe hangs long and drags against the ground, the hem never catches on any roots or rocks.)
